Token risk checks, right in your Telegram chats

Add @TrenchReportBot to your group and anyone can check a contract before they buy: mint and freeze authority, honeypot and tax checks, LP lock, top holders. Ten chains, free, no sign-up. It doesn't post calls, shill tokens or DM anyone.

Add it to your group in under a minute

You need to be an admin of the group (or ask one). Nothing to install, nothing to pay.

  1. Tap “Add to your group”

Telegram opens and asks which group. Pick yours and confirm. The bot posts a short hello with how to use it, then stays quiet until someone asks it something.

  2. Try it

Anyone in the group sends /scan followed by a contract address, or replies /scan to a message that has one. You can also mention it: @TrenchReportBot <contract>.

  3. Optional: have it check every contract posted

Make the bot an admin, then an admin sends /autoscan on. From then on every contract posted gets a risk read automatically, each address at most once every 10 minutes. /autoscan off stops it.

  4. Optional: turn on scam protection

Give the bot the Delete messages permission and send /protect on. It removes seed-phrase requests, wallet “verify / claim” links and fake “support” posts, and warns when someone joins wearing an admin's name. It never bans or mutes anyone.

What it checks

The contract

  • Mint and freeze authority (Solana)
  • Honeypot, can't-sell and blacklist checks (EVM)
  • Buy and sell tax, and whether it can be changed
  • Hidden owner, reclaimable ownership, upgradeable proxy
  • How much of the liquidity is locked or burned
  • How much the top wallet holds

The market

  • Liquidity and 24-hour volume
  • 24-hour price change
  • How old the trading pair is
  • Where the token stands on the public track record: the first read it got, and what happened after

Ten chains

SolanaEthereumBaseBNB ChainRobinhood ChainMonadArbitrumPolygonOptimismAvalanche

Paste an 0x address and the bot finds which chain it trades on. Solana mints and DexScreener links work too.

Where the data comes from

Market data from DexScreener. Contract risk from RugCheck on Solana and GoPlus Security on the EVM chains, scored the same way as on trenchreports.com, so the bot and the site always agree.

Permissions and privacy

What it can see

Telegram only shows a bot the messages addressed to it (commands and mentions), unless you make it an admin. As an admin with /autoscan on or /protect on, it reads each new message only to look for a contract address or a scam pattern, and ignores everything else.

What it keeps

The group's name, size, its switches, how many checks it answered and which tokens were checked there (for /stats and follow-ups, 60 days). Never your messages, your member list or who asked. The tokens checked go on the public track record, with nothing about who asked. Details in the privacy policy.

What it needs

Nothing to answer /scan. Admin (with no permissions) for /autoscan. Admin with Delete messages for /protect. It never bans, mutes or DMs anyone.

How much it talks

When asked, once per pasted contract with /autoscan on, and a rare follow-up when a token checked there rugs (at most 10 a day). Up to 12 replies a minute per chat, so a busy group can't turn it into spam.

Stay safe

The only official bot is @TrenchReportBot. It never DMs anyone first, never asks you to connect a wallet, “verify”, “validate” or “claim”, and never asks for a seed phrase or private key. Anyone doing that in Trench Report's name is a scammer, including accounts that copy this name with an extra letter.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. Checks in groups, channels and private chats are free, on all ten chains, with no limit beyond the per-chat pace above.

Does it post calls or tell people what to buy?

No. It describes what's in a contract and its market right now. It gives no buy or sell signals, never promotes tokens, and Trench Report has no token of its own. A “Low signal risk” read doesn't mean safe: tokens with nothing flagged can still lose all their value.

How do I know the reads are any good?

Every token checked through the bot or the site is logged with the read it got and watched for seven days. The track record shows how often High risk reads went bad, how often Low risk reads did (the misses), and a daily fingerprint so none of it can be edited later.

Does it work in a channel?

Yes. Add it as an admin of the channel and post /scan <contract>; it replies under the post. It never posts in your channel on its own.

Can I get alerts about my own tokens in Telegram?

Yes. Sign in on trenchreports.com, add tokens to your watchlist, and connect Telegram in the Alerts tab. The bot then messages you privately when a token's risk changes or its liquidity drops. Free during early access.

It didn't answer. Why?

Usually one of these: the message wasn't addressed to it (use /scan or mention it, or turn on /autoscan and make it an admin); the address isn't a token with a live trading pool (wallets and brand-new tokens with no pool get “No live market found”); or the market data was briefly unavailable, in which case it says so and a retry a minute later works.
